In Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on March 8, 2017, the life of Kelly A. Pease, a 37-year-old White/Caucasian female, was tragically cut short. A mother of five and a dedicated nursing student at North Idaho College, Pease was discovered in her car in a parking lot of Kootenai Health, where she was doing her clinical rotations. An employee of the hospital found her and attempted CPR, but Pease had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Her death was the culmination of a history of domestic violence
