On October 12, 2021, at approximately 6:30 a.m., the Bonner County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting in the 500 block of Silver Birch Lane in Oldtown, Idaho. Upon arrival, deputies and emergency medical services found 48-year-old Donald Bush suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, Bush succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
