On June 28, 2022, in Smelterville, Idaho, 41-year-old Aaron "Snuffy" Blake Peterson was fatally shot multiple times in the back while he slept in his home. His girlfriend of ten years, Stephanie Paris, confessed to the shooting, citing auditory hallucinations of women taunting her about Peterson's alleged infidelities as the impetus for her actions.
