A holiday weekend took a tragic turn at a gun range south of Nampa, Idaho, resulting in the death of Evan Michael Chase, a 26-year-old White/Caucasian male. On the evening of July 5, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Chase was at the George Nourse Gun Range when a rifle unintentionally discharged. Another man was in the process of unloading the firearm when it fired, striking Chase in the abdomen. The Fourth of July weekend was shattered by this sudden and devastating event.
