In the small community of Lenore, Idaho, the life of Lanae A. Tackely, a 38-year-old White/Caucasian woman, was brought to a tragic and abrupt end on October 15, 2022. On that day, the Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office received a call that would lead them to a grim discovery at Tackely's residence. Inside her home, they found her deceased, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. Her death was subsequently ruled a homicide, sending shockwaves through the quiet town.
