Richard Carlson, a 61-year-old man, was found dead in Prout Park in Manchester, New Hampshire on the morning of August 28, 2016. Police responded to a 911 call reporting an apparent deceased man in the park and discovered Carlson's body near a baseball field.

An autopsy revealed that Carlson died from blunt force trauma, and his death was ruled a homicide. The Manchester Police Department conducted an extensive investigation into the case.
