Tragically, these would be her final communications.
In the minutes that followed, a horrific act of violence unfolded within their home, ending the lives of Kassandra and her children, four-year-old Benjamin and 23-month-old Mason.
Responding to a 911 call from Sean Sweeney, who reported that his brother told him someone had broken in and killed his family, police arrived at the Wethersfield Drive residence to a devastating scene. They discovered Kassandra and her two boys, all of whom had been fatally shot. Autopsies later confirmed that each victim died from a single gunshot wound to the head, and their deaths were ruled homicides.
