On June 14, 2022, 67-year-old Dieter Seier of Cornish, New Hampshire, was fatally shot in Woodstock, Vermont, during a dispute involving financial and property matters. Seier had accompanied his friend, June Wilson, to her residence at 13 Slayton Terrace to address ongoing disagreements with her son, Jay Wilson, aged 45.
