On a June day in 2022, Dieter Seier, a 67-year-old White male from Cornish, New Hampshire, accompanied his longtime friend, June Wilson, to her home in Woodstock, Vermont. The purpose of their visit was to facilitate the transfer of a vehicle to her son, Jay Wilson, 45, who was living at the Slayton Terrace residence. June had recently traveled from her home in Florida with the intention of selling the Woodstock property, a decision that had angered her son.
