On December 1, 2022, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a report of shots fired at a residence on Griggs Road in Eden, Vermont. Upon arrival, they discovered 66-year-old David Peatman deceased from a gunshot wound to the chest. An autopsy conducted at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington confirmed the cause of death as homicide.
