In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, the life of Percy E. Standifer Jr., a 33-year-old man, was irrevocably altered. Shortly after midnight on September 2, 2020, the sound of gunshots pierced the quiet of Logee Street.
