In the small community of Canova, South Dakota, the life of 60-year-old Donald Letcher, a White/Caucasian male, came to a tragic end on July 23, 2024. His death followed a direct confrontation with an online vigilante group known as the 'Predator Poachers'. Members of this group, led by its founder, arrived at Letcher's residence, accusing him of possessing and viewing child pornography.
