On July 23, 2024, in Canova, South Dakota, 60-year-old Donald Letcher died by suicide following a confrontation with the vigilante group Predator Poachers. The group's founder, Alex Rosen, approached Letcher at his residence, accusing him of possessing and viewing child pornography. During the encounter, Letcher provided explicit details about his consumption of such material, including content involving infants.
