On the evening of September 30, 2024, a shooting occurred inside an apartment on the 4000 block of Range Road in Rapid City, South Dakota. Three males sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital. Among them was 18-year-old Marquise Walker, a senior at Central High School and a member of the school's football team. Tragically, Marquise succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on October 1, 2024.
