On January 9, 2023, 16-year-old Angelina Harrison of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was fatally shot while riding in a vehicle on Dell Range Boulevard near Frontier Mall. The incident occurred when 19-year-old Tirso Munguia, seated in the back seat, was handling a 9mm pistol that discharged, striking Harrison, who was in the front passenger seat. Munguia and 18-year-old Cody Nicholson, also in the back seat, had been handling the firearm prior to the discharge.
