The quiet neighborhood of Makiki in Honolulu was shattered on the afternoon of December 14, 2019, when gunshots rang out in front of an apartment building on Green Street. 71-year-old Gloria Takaoka, a beloved resident of the building, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and tragically succumbed to her injuries at a nearby hospital.
