On January 8, 2021, a 94-year-old woman named Maria Paris Leva was found dead in her Kihei, Hawaii home. An autopsy revealed that she had died from multiple sharp force injuries, and her death was ruled a homicide.
Police investigated the case and identified a suspect, Leva's 45-year-old son, Bernard Leva. He was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
