A three-year-old boy, DJ Blue-Lorenzo, was tragically shot and killed in his Waialua home on February 28, 2022. His father, Dexter Blue-Lorenzo, a 37-year-old corrections officer, is suspected of committing the murder before taking his own life. The Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the incident as a murder-suicide, with both father and son dying from gunshot wounds to the chest.
