In February 2007, a quiet Cuban immigrant named Ignacio Cordova was found brutally murdered in his Northwest Washington, D.C. apartment, a place he had considered a safe haven after fleeing the Castro regime. His body was discovered on Monday, February 19, 2007, inside his unit at the Woodner Apartments at 3636 16th Street, NW.
