On February 23, 2003, a tragic shooting occurred at the Labor Ready Inc. temporary employment agency in Huntsville, Alabama. The incident began with an argument over a CD player among individuals waiting for work assignments. The altercation escalated when 23-year-old Emanuel Burl Patterson retrieved a handgun and opened fire on the group.
