In the spring of 2008, a tragedy struck Birmingham, Alabama, cutting short the life of a promising young man. Brandon Ashley Donkor, a 17-year-old male student at A.H. Parker High School, was found dead on the evening of Saturday, April 12, 2008. His car had crashed into the pool house at Dorothy Spears Park, but the collision was not what claimed his life.
