In the spring of 2014, a domestic dispute in Salem, Alabama, ended in the tragic death of Anterio Derran Wynn. The 32-year-old Black man was killed on April 12, 2014, following a confrontation with his girlfriend, Belinda Williams, who was 34 at the time. The argument reportedly began after Wynn accused Williams of having an affair.
The altercation escalated violently, resulting in Wynn being fatally shot and beaten with a dumbbell.
The incident was classified as an act of domestic violence. Following the deadly encounter, Williams was identified as the suspect in Wynn's death. His case is considered to be solved. Anterio Derran Wynn was later laid to rest at the Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Marvyn, Lee County, Alabama. He was survived by his son, his parents, and several siblings.
