In January 2016, 24-year-old David Cody Brown was found with multiple gunshot wounds at a residence on Lee Road 246 in Salem, Alabama. Responding to the scene, Lee County Sheriff's deputies pronounced him dead upon arrival.
The investigation revealed that the shooting stemmed from a dispute over a sum between $100 and $150. Brown's girlfriend was also injured during the incident, sustaining a gunshot wound to her leg.
