In the late spring of 2014, on Memorial Day, the life of 38-year-old Casey Anthony Payne was tragically cut short in Anniston, Alabama. Responding to reports of gunfire, police arrived at a residence in the 2200 block of Parkwood Drive to a grim scene. Inside the home, they discovered Payne, who had suffered a fatal shotgun blast to the chest.
