In the quiet hours before dawn on February 17, 2021, a burst of violence shattered the peace in Anniston, Alabama, leaving 30-year-old Ashley Necole Lindsey, a White female, fatally wounded. The incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. on the Hillyer Robinson Industrial Parkway. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Lindsey suffering from gunshot wounds.
She was rushed to the Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment, but tragically, her injuries proved to be too severe, and she was pronounced dead.
A native of the neighboring Cleburne County, Ashley was a graduate of Cleburne County High School's class of 2007. Remembered by those who knew her as a loving mother to her two children, a cherished daughter, and a loyal friend, her life was filled with a passion for racing, music, and singing. She especially treasured the time spent on vacations with her children, creating memories that would become a painful yet precious legacy.
In the wake of the shooting, the investigation quickly focused on a suspect. Brianna Jo Adams, a 27-year-old woman also from Anniston, turned herself in to the Anniston Police Department. She was subsequently arrested and charged with intentional murder in connection with Ashley Lindsey's death. Following her arrest, Adams was held in the Calhoun County Jail on a $60,000 bond. A preliminary hearing for her case was scheduled to take place on April 29, 2021. The outcome of this hearing and any subsequent legal proceedings, including a trial or conviction, have not been made publicly available.
