In the winter of 2007, Jerry Phelps, a 33-year-old man, was found dead in his Washington, D.C. apartment. His body was discovered on December 22, 2007, at approximately 2:57 a.m. in his residence located in the 1700 block of Trinidad Avenue, Northeast. An investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department determined that Phelps had been fatally shot.
