On March 29, 2015, 23-year-old Cortez Ligon from Tuskegee, Alabama, was tragically killed. In the aftermath of his death, SEED Inc., a local organization, held a "Celebration of Life" event to honor Ligon and other young men who had lost their lives to violence. This event received news coverage, highlighting the community's efforts to remember and celebrate the lives of these individuals.
