On June 28, 2015, in McCalla, Alabama, 14-year-old Kimberly Hutcheson was found fatally shot in her home, along with her mother, Doris Hutcheson, 49, and her brother, Peyton Hutcheson, 12. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office discovered their bodies after concerned family members requested a welfare check, as they had not heard from the family since June 26. Deputies forced entry into the residence and found each victim in separate rooms, all having suffered gunshot wounds.
