On July 27, 2015, in Brent, Alabama, 27-year-old Lequan Dalon Clayton and 19-year-old Tevin Rutledge were fatally shot near an Alabama Power substation. The incident led to a high-speed chase, culminating in the arrest of Manley Deontay Bray, who was charged with two counts of capital murder. In September 2019, Bray pleaded guilty to two counts of intentional murder and abuse of a corpse, receiving an 85-year prison sentence.
