In the summer of 2015, a young man's life was cut short in Theodore, Alabama, not out of malice, but through a tragic act of recklessness. On August 7th, 24-year-old Jacob Christopher Parker, a Caucasian male, was at a residence with his friend, 23-year-old Carlos Heard. The two were handling a firearm when the weapon discharged, striking Parker.
