Alvin 'Ba-Ba' Dees Jr., a 22-year-old male, was shot and killed on April 12, 2020. The incident that led to his death occurred at the Peppertree Apartments in Mobile, Alabama. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Dees suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the shooting swiftly identified two suspects.
At the scene of the crime, authorities found a second individual with a gunshot wound, who was believed to be one of the suspects. This man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later arrested in connection with Dees's death. He was identified as 26-year-old Harry Davis and was charged with murder. The following day, on April 13, 2020, the second suspect, 21-year-old Hyron Davis, was also taken into custody by the police.
Subsequent legal proceedings have taken place in the years following Alvin Dees's death. It is known that Harry Davis later entered a plea for manslaughter. The case also saw additional courtroom drama when an individual named Jacques Xavier Dees was convicted of third-degree assault for attacking a defendant, Hyron Ladonte Davis, during a court proceeding related to the murder case.
