On July 20, 2008, Oscar Solis, a 22-year-old man, was found dead in Emery Park, located at 5801 Georgia Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 7:00 AM, when Solis's body was discovered in the park. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating the case, and it remains an unsolved homicide.
