On August 30, 2008, at approximately 1:20 AM, Gemell Williams, also known as "Lucky," was shot and killed in the 500 block of Newcomb Street, Southeast Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene following reports of gunfire, where they discovered Williams suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to investigate the incident, the case has remained unsolved, and the police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
