In the early hours of a cold Monday morning in Washington, D.C., the life of 27-year-old Lamare Antwan Larkins was tragically cut short. On February 1, 2010, at approximately 12:25 a.m., authorities received a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Stevens Road, SE. Responding officers discovered a grim scene in an alley where Larkins lay, having been shot at least twice. Hailing from the 3000 block of Stanton Road SE, the young man's death marked another homicide in the nation's capital.
