On May 29, 2016, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Tuscaloosa police responded to a shooting incident on the 3300 block of 16th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 43-year-old Barrie Dwayne Riggs deceased inside a vehicle parked on the roadway. Investigators determined that Riggs had been fatally shot.
