On June 29, 2016, 22-year-old Pierre Deanthony Washington was found deceased inside a crashed vehicle near the intersection of 17th Street Southwest and Laurel Avenue in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding officers discovered that Washington had sustained gunshot wounds prior to the crash.
