On June 2, 2017, in Jasper, Alabama, 49-year-old Deborah Dragoo Banks and her husband, 58-year-old Steven Dewayne Banks, were found deceased in their residence on Pineywood Sipsey Road. The Walker County Coroner confirmed that their deaths resulted from an apparent murder-suicide. Authorities reported that Steven Banks fatally shot his wife, Deborah, before taking his own life.
