On a summer evening in the nation's capital, a life was cut short, leaving behind a mystery that endures to this day. On Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Derrick A. Jones was discovered murdered. The scene of the crime was a residence located at 2306 Hartford Street in the Southeast quadrant of Washington, D.C.
