Rebecca Ann Quillin, a 73-year-old White woman from Montgomery, Alabama, was killed on the night of July 21, 2017, in a burst of violence inside a home on Sumter Avenue. Police and fire medics were called to the 2700 block around 8:30 p.m. after reports that people had been shot. When they arrived, Quillin had suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult male was also found badly wounded and taken to a local hospital.
