On an autumn day in 2017, the life of Tammie Christina Blount, a 47-year-old Black/African American woman from Opelika, Alabama, was tragically cut short. On October 20, 2017, her body was discovered in neighboring Chambers County, the victim of gun violence. The discovery launched a homicide investigation into her death.
