On June 29, 2018, in Athens, Alabama, authorities responded to a fatal shooting incident on Airfield Street around 8 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered two male victims: 42-year-old Adolfo Sanchez-Ocampo, who resided in the mobile home where the shooting occurred, and his brother, 37-year-old Rigoberto Sanchez-Ocampo, a resident of Elkmont. Adolfo was pronounced dead at the scene, while Rigoberto was transported to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.
