Todd Oiler, a 43-year-old man from Coosada, Alabama, was fatally shot on February 1, 2019, in what authorities later confirmed as a homicide. Oiler’s body was discovered in a rural area of Elmore County, near Coosada, following reports of gunfire in the early hours of the morning. Responding officers found Oiler with gunshot wounds, and despite attempts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting prompted an immediate investigation by the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office.
