On the evening of May 27, 2019, Mobile police responded to a distress call at a residence on Magnolia Road in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, officers discovered 40-year-old Selwondra Pugh, an African American woman, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was immediately transported to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
