On the evening of September 2, 2019, in Tuscumbia, Alabama, 34-year-old John Thomas "J.T." Call was fatally shot. At approximately 9:45 p.m., a nearby resident reported hearing a gunshot. Responding officers discovered Call deceased in the driver's seat of a white pickup truck parked at the corner of John Street and Hobson Street. He had sustained a single gunshot wound.
