In the early morning hours of September 8, 2019, the life of 37-year-old Brandon Lee White, a Caucasian male, was tragically cut short in his lifelong home of Mobile, Alabama. At approximately 2:44 a.m., Mobile Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Alta Vista Drive West following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered White seated in the front of his vehicle, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A lifelong resident of Mobile, Brandon White was a graduate of McGill-Toolen Catholic High School's class of 2000 and had built a career as a retail sales manager, where he was known for his specialization in customer care. He was a father to two daughters, Anniston Reid White and Addilyn Reese White. His family, including his parents, Malcolm 'Mickey' and Patricia 'Patsy' White, and his maternal grandparents, remembered him as a cherished member of their family.
The investigation into White's death moved swiftly. Later on the same day he was found, police arrested 28-year-old John Alfred Evans in connection with the shooting. Evans was subsequently charged with murder and shooting into an occupied building or vehicle. A memorial service to honor Brandon White's life was held on September 14, 2019, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mobile.
