Stabler was discovered in her car on Interstate 165 in Prichard, a city in Mobile County, Alabama, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body on October 23, 2019. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
In her final moments, Stabler was able to provide crucial information to investigators, identifying the man who had shot her.
The individual she named was 19-year-old Tummaine Johnson, who was swiftly located and taken into custody by the Prichard Police Department. Johnson was subsequently charged with murder.
