In the late afternoon of March 26, 2020, a tragic event unfolded at a residence in Decatur, Alabama, ending the life of Kenneth Dewayne Vest. A 60-year-old white male, Vest was fatally shot in an incident that would soon be investigated as a homicide by the Decatur Police Department. Born on April 19, 1959, his life was cut short by an act of gun violence.
