In the spring of 2020, the life of Morris Bledsoe, a 21-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Gadsden, Alabama. On the evening of April 24th, Bledsoe was fatally wounded in a shooting that occurred in the eastern part of the city. The incident prompted an investigation by local law enforcement, with the Gadsden Times reporting the event under the headline "One dead in East Gadsden shooting."
