On May 30, 2020, in Montgomery, Alabama, 46-year-old Eric Kelly was fatally shot during an altercation with 58-year-old Anita Dudley. The incident occurred around 3:14 p.m. in the 700 block of Graves Street. Upon arrival, Montgomery Police and Fire Medics found Kelly with a life-threatening gunshot wound; he was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
