On September 6, 2020, around 2 a.m., a fight erupted in the parking lot of the Benson Community Center in Alexander City, Alabama. Security personnel intervened and dispersed the altercation. However, shortly after, unidentified individuals returned to the scene and opened fire. Antwian Morgan, a 20-year-old man from Dadeville, was critically injured in the shooting and was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
