On June 9, 2024, a tragic shooting occurred at Benson’s Community Center on North Central Avenue in Alexander City, Alabama. At approximately 12:30 AM, authorities responded to the scene and discovered 19-year-old Jay’z’ion Strong of Goodwater deceased. Two other individuals sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to a hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
