On the evening of April 5, 2020, an altercation occurred at a residence on Coosa County Road 85 in Kellyton, Alabama. Deputies from the Coosa County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for assistance regarding the disturbance. Upon arrival, they were informed that 37-year-old Prince Giles Pearson had been shot multiple times. Despite immediate attention, Pearson was pronounced dead at the scene.
